Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 due to a lengthy illness at Covenant Healthcare. Age 70 years.
The son of the late Sally (Loubert) and Richard E. Bittner was born November 26, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Julie Ann Troyer, February 5, 1977. She survives him. Rick was an automotive painter for over 40 years working at Tri-City Collision, Scientific Brake and Color Tech. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He enjoyed putting together Model Cars, building Hot Rods and Muscle Cars. As a young man he played the drums and raced cars at Tri-City Dragway. He was well known for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Surviving besides his wife, Julie, are two sons and their wives, Brett Michael and Ayako Bittner; Brian Richard and Karrie Bittner; five grandchildren, Zachary, Arianna, Brodie, Blake and Emmett. There is a granddaughter on the way.
