Richard Praay Jr. Freeland, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at his home with his family at his side. Age 74 years. Richard was born on December 3, 1944, in Saginaw, to the late Richard Sr. and Betty Lou (Bellil) Praay. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Ellen J. Griffus, on August 23, 1993, in Saginaw; she survives him. He was self-employed landlord for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and his cats. Surviving besides his wife of 25 years, Ellen; are children, Cassie Flores, Basilio (Ashley) Flores, Randall Praay, Rachel (Eric) Praay; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Avianna, Eliseanna, Amia, Basilio III, Aliayah, Emilianno, Marcelo, and Aspyn. Also surviving are extended family and friends. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service. Following Richards wishes, cremation will follow.
