Richard Alan Haenlein passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at Medilodge of Frankenmuth, at the age of 73. Born on August 5, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Earl and Anna (Misekow) Haenlein, Richard lived a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.

On October 22, 2004, Richard married Pam Cummings, and together they built a life rich with shared memories, joy, and endless laughter.

Richard had a deep passion for Classic Rock music and even played bass in his own band for a time. He loved the thrill of old muscle cars and attending car shows. Camping anywhere with a lake and relaxing with a Sunday NASCAR race were among his favorite ways to enjoy life.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife, Pam Haenlein; mother-in-law Judy Cummings; father-in-law and his wife, John and Jeanne Cummings; sister Mary Jo Burback; sister-in-law and her husband, Kim and David Thomas; nieces Bonnie and Bill Smith and Amy VanMeter; nephews Scott and Kathy Burback, Kevin and Donna Burback, and Steve and Erika Burback.

He is reunited in heaven with his parents, his brother-in-law Fred Burback, and his nephew Brian Burback.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to his wonderful neighbors, Bob and Nancy Topham, Robert and Anita Zapata, and Louis and Inell Jackson, whose kindness and willingness to help never went unnoticed. A special thank you also goes to the caring staff in the center wing of Medilodge of Frankenmuth for their compassion and dedication, with an extra special acknowledgment to Lisa for her unwavering support.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time.
