Richard "Dick" Clark LaDouce Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 30, 2021, at HealthSource of Saginaw. He was 88 years old. Richard Clark LaDouce was born on May 14, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Hewitt) LaDouce. He was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, Dick proudly served his country by enlisting into the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Barbara Lee Guenther on May 23, 1953; she preceded him in death on January 12, 2015. Dick worked for General Motors for 34 years, retiring in 1992 after many years of loyal and dedicated service. He later began working for Avis Car Rental for 17 years. Dick was a longtime and faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Saginaw Pulaski Hall, American Legion Post #439, and the National Sheriffs' Association. Dick enjoyed watching the Redwings and taking trips to Tawas. He will forever be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, beautiful bouquets of flowers placed on the kitchen table and living room, and for his love of sweets and candies.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Richard LaDouce, Jr. and his significant other Jeanie of Saginaw; Debra (William) Clark of Saginaw; Michael (Lori) LaDouce of Saginaw; Heidi (Matthew) Myers of Saginaw; nine grandchildren: Shanna (Barry), Amber (Jason), Kyle (Haylee), Michael, Jordan (Krista), Paige, McKenzie (Jordan), Kamryn, and Karly; four great-grandchildren: Devin, Cassidy, Isabella, and Trace; two brothers and four sisters: James (Marilyn) Ladouce of Saginaw; John (Taki) LaDouce of Saginaw; Irene Dunlap of Saginaw; Nancy Hornbacher of Caro; Dona (Robert) Clark of Midland; Sandy (Bob) Currie of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Currier; brother, Robert LaDouce, two brothers-in-law: Donald Dunlap and Darrell Hornbacher.

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road. Rev. Paul Biber will officiate. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of the United States Navy and American Legion Post #439. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
