Rebecca Ann “Becky” Hoff of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away with her family by her side on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Wellspring of Frankenmuth. She was 78 years old. Rebecca Ann Acker was born on April 2, 1948, in Lansing, Michigan, to the late Russell D. and Mildred B. (Pritchard) Acker. Becky was a proud 1966 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. While in high school she began working for Michigan Bell as a telephone operator and held that position for several years. While at the Fordney Hotel listening to a band, she met the love of her life, Thomas Frank Hoff. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on November 26, 1976; he survives her. The role she treasured and cherished the most was being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Soon after marriage, Becky began working with her husband on the family farm and later formed Autumn View Farms LLC. She was a former member of the State Street United Methodist Church and was a proud, patriotic, and longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. An avid traveler, Becky was blessed to travel to all 50 states. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially boating, fishing, gardening, and snowmobiling. Becky also enjoyed attending craft shows, drying flowers to make wreaths, creating and designing costumes and clothing, and woodworking. Curious by nature, Becky used her brilliant and detailed mind to fuel her passion for genealogy. She was proud to trace relatives back to George Soule who arrived in America on the Mayflower. Through genealogy, she was able to create lifelong friends, bonds, and encouraged others to become members of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Classy, elegant, and beautiful, Becky will forever be remembered fondly for her style and grace, for her selflessness to anyone in need, and for her fierce loyalty to her family. Above all, she truly lived an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Thomas F. Hoff of Saginaw; two sons: Steve Dorian (Carrie Cross) of Saginaw; Mark (Justin) Hoff of Dewitt; five grandchildren: Stefany Dorian (Michael Roberson), Danielle Dorian, Steven Dorian, Krystyn Hoff, and Lynnsay Hoff; a brother, Daniel (Nancy) Acker of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends too numerous to mention but held closely to her heart.
She was preceded in death by a former spouse, Michael P. Dorian; parents, Russel and Midlred Acker; two great-grandchildren: Charlotte and Myles Inskeep; and a sister, Patrica (Roy) Heritier.
The family would like to extend all the staff at Covenant HealthCare and Wellspring Nursing Home for all the love and care they provided to Becky and the family.
A funeral service will take place 2:o0 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Pastor Jim Doran will officiate.
