Raymond "Ray" Glen Bryce

Raymond "Ray" Bryce, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Ascension - St. Mary's Hospital. He was 84 years old. Raymond Glen Bryce, Sr. was born on July 22, 1938, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Glen E. and Katherine M. (Rosenfield) Bryce. He married the former, Geraldine Boyne, and together had two sons and a daughter. Ray later met, Brenda (Wilson) Miller, and spending the good part of 25 years together until she preceded him in death on February 26, 2001. He was employed as a manager with Bridgeport Auto Parts and also was a salesman with Dorr Auto Parts in Saginaw. Ray had a technical mind and understood the complexity of taking things apart and putting them back together. A backyard mechanic by trade, Ray could fix anything, from snowmobiles and motorcycles to cars and pickup trucks, if you needed something fixed, and fixed right, he was your man. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and deer hunting. His little piece of heaven was attending NASCAR races, as well as watching them on television. Ray also supported his favorite sports teams, the Detroit Tigers and Pistons. He will forever be remembered fondly as "Red" a nickname given to him by his family, for wrenching and tinkering in his garage, the special affection he had for dogs, and for the love he had for his children and grandchildren, especially attending all their sporting events.

Surviving are a son, Raymond (Catherine) Bryce, Jr. of Saginaw; eight grandchildren: Joseph (Amanda) Bryce, Christopher (Kat) Bryce, Dallas Moggo, Ashley Bryce, Kyle Bryce, Raymond J. "RJ" Bryce, Alexander Bryce, and Travis Bryce; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers: Lois Dowis of Saginaw; Janet Paulsen of Saginaw; Richard Bryce of Saginaw; Everett Bryce of Cedar Springs; Donald (Delma) Bryce of Saginaw; Fred (Sandy) Bryce of Pinconning; Sharon Mata of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Moggo; a son, Gerald Bryce; brother, Ronald (Maria) Bryce; sister, Patricia (Joseph) Bosnyak; parents, Glen and Katherine Bryce; a former spouse, Geraldine Bryce; and longtime partner and companion, Brenda Miller.
