Ray also supported his favorite sports teams, the Detroit Tigers and Pistons. He will forever be remembered fondly as "Red" a nickname given to him by his family, for wrenching and tinkering in his garage, the special affection he had for dogs, and for the love he had for his children and grandchildren, especially attending all their sporting events.
