Puran Singh of Saginaw, Michigan formerly of Talwandi, Salhan

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, June 28, 2021, at his home. He was 77 years old. Puran Singh was born on December 1, 1944, in Gujrat, India, to the late Kartar and Gura (Devi) Singh. He married to the love of his life, Ajit Kaur in India; she preceded him in death in July 1999. Puran was well known and a leader within his community and family. He was born with the innate ability to communicate and connect with all people, making friends with everyone he met. Puran was also a hardworking and independent man that enjoyed traveling, especially visiting his children and grandchildren. He was of the Sikh faith and a Wiseman sought out by many for his advice. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, for his love for family, and his indomitable spirit.

Surviving are his five children: Balwinder (Jaswinder Kaur) Singh, Lakhvinder (Sukhwinderjit Kaur) Singh, Amrik (Satwant Kaur) Singh, Narinder (Jagtar Singh) Kaur, and Kamlesh (Parbh Dyal) Kaur; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Swaran Kaur.

He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers and three sisters.

A Funeral Service/Antam Sanskar will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Sarabhjit Singh will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
