Phyllis Kay Schmidt Saginaw, Michigan Went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the age of 74 years. The daughter of the late Roy and Vera (Rogers) Roberson was born on March 16, 1941 in Midland. She married Michael S. Schmidt, he survives her. She was a member of First Baptist in Bridgeport. Phyllis enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband Michael, are her children: Sue (Greg "Scooby" Berkompas) Wright, Robert Schmidt, her grandchildren including Mark Wright, whom she raised as a son, her sister Wanda Packard, and brother James (Linda) Sasse and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a son, David Holford, grandson Tye Holford, brothers: Thomas Sasse, Rodney Sasse, Wilber Roberson, Richard Robinson and sister Loretta Rittmaier. The family would like to specially thank her niece Brenda Irish, Magnum Care and Southern Care Hospice for the care they gave Phyllis. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside prayer service on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, where she and her husband Michael Robert Schmidt will be laid to rest.
