Beloved father, son, brother, cousin, and friend passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Age 31 years.
The son of Phillip M. Verdusco Sr. and the late Colleen (Sangster) Verdusco, Phillip was born on September 1, 1993, in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 2011. Phillip worked at Michigan Sugar and established his own lawn care service, PJ Lawncare, demonstrating his commitment to hard work and entrepreneurship. Additionally, he shared his passion for music as a DJ known by the name Savasque Verdusco. Phillip was recognized for his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. His enthusiasm for cars led him to become a member of the Low 4 Life Car Club, where he found kinship with fellow car enthusiasts.
Surviving are his two children, Myra Iliana Verdusco, Jose’ Alberto Verdusco; fur baby, Bleu Verdusco; father, Phillip M. Verdusco Sr. (Alina Canon); grandfather, Joseph Verdusco; sister, Chrisine Verdusco (Daniel Juarez); aunts and uncles, Antonia Verdusco, David (Michelle) Verdusco, Joseph Verdusco, Delores (Marcos) Garcia, Cruz Cepeda, Michael Sangster, Betty Jean Sangster; the mother of his children; Rosa Valdez; spouse of his mother, Joseph Glass; cousins, Francisco Verdusco, Ciana Verdusco, Herlinda Verdusco, Marcos Garcia Jr, Anita Garcia, Lou Cepeda; very dear friends, Frank Rodriguez, Tony Gomez, Norma Mendez, Compadre Erik Olascuaga, Ruby Rodriguez, Toyo Rosas, D. Willie Williams, Stephanie Rosas, Juan Rosas. Also surviving are many extended family members and friends. Besides his mother, Phillip was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anita Verdusco; maternal grandfather and grandmother, Jack Sr. and Frannie Sangster; great-grandmother, Josephine Verdusco; Godmother, Susana Velasquez; aunts and uncles; John Sangster, Jack Sangster Jr, Charles Sangster, Marion Sangster, and Rudy Cepeda.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Dr. Julian Gonzales will officiate with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025,and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. A Prayer Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family for his children, in c/o Rosa Valdez.
