Griffor, Penny Ann Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, age 55 years. Penny was born December 14, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Marlene (Claus) and the late James D. Thomas. She married Edward Griffor in September, 1979 and he survives her. Penny worked as a caregiver for many years. She loved reading the Bible. Penny is also survived by her mother, Marlene Thomas (George Clark); 2 sons, Edward Griffor and Robert Griffor (Nikki Ostrander); a daughter/granddaughter, Pacie Griffor; a granddaughter, Abigail; four sisters, Peggy (Russell) Beckman, Vickie (Gerald) Ginderske, Robin (Jim) Sherman and Mary (Leonard) Clark; 10 nieces and nephews, Michael (Zorina) Beckman, Richard Beckman, Linda Greenwood, James VanHaaren, III, Jonathan VanHaaren, Tessa Ginderske, Ashly Ginderske, Crystal (Brandon) Papst, Lenny Clark and Shannon Clark; many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Penny was predeceased by a nephew, Lloyd Beckman. The funeral service will take place 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Patrick Lagan will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service.
