Paul William Goodman
Hillman, Michigan
Formerly of Bridgeport, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena, with his family at his side. At the age of 66 years.
The son of the late Arthur O. and Victoria A. (Dudock) Goodman, Paul was born on June 7, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Bridgeport High School. Paul proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Iran Hostage Crisis, where he was stationed overseas and worked as an Amtrak Repairman. Throughout his service, he earned several commendations, including the Good Conduct Medal, the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, and a Meritorious Mast. He entered active duty on June 28, 1977, and was honorably discharged on June 27, 1980. Paul married Jody Ann (Zurlinden) Reamer, on September 13, 2025. She survives him. Paul worked as an Iron Worker and Hi-Lo Truck Driver for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Deeply rooted in his Christian faith, he was a former member of Cornerstone Christian Center. He found peace and joy in the outdoors, especially while hunting and fishing. He cherished riding across Michigan on his Harley, especially when he could share the open road with his wife by his side. Paul also loved working with his hands and took pride in fixing anything he could. He believed in living life to the fullest, while still appreciating the beauty of a simple, uncomplicated life. Paul never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, always offering support with a generous and genuine heart. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends, especially his children, grandchildren, and beloved dogs, Milo and Sheba.
Surviving besides his wife, Jody Goodman; are his sons and daughters, Jacob (Julie) Goodman, Katlyn Goodman (Cody Lapak), Ben (Beth) Archangeli, Nichole (Dylan) Riedlinger, Dustin Reamer (Rachel Porcaro), Brittany Lane, April (Robert) Butros, Devon Gagliardi; grandchildren, Scarlett, Edie, Grayson, Layla, Waylon, Claudio, Alissa, Kylie, Collin; sister, Sandy (John) Fritzler; and a very dear nephew, Tim (Jenny) Goodman. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones. Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son, Todd Archangeli; his sister and brothers, Nancy Dowis, Milo Goodman, and James Goodman
Honoring Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Hwy, Saginaw, MI 48601. Chaplain Michael Wesolek will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps and American Legion Post 22. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
