Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Brian’s House, with her family at her side; at the age of 82 years.

The daughter of the late Charles Wozniak and Grace (Rich) Phillips, Pat was born on September 11, 1940, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Holy Family Catholic High School. Pat married Robert W. Symons on August 1, 1959; he preceded her in death on December 24, 2006. She was an enrolled agent for the IRS, working at Bell Tax Service and McDonald and Associates for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Pat was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, participating in the various activities and groups at church. She was also involved with Tops, Meal on Wheels, was active at AARP and served as its president. Pat’s role of a lifetime was raising her children. She enjoyed reading, camping, and traveling throughout the United States with her family.

Surviving are her sons, daughter, and their spouses: Bill (Julie) Symons, Denise Morello (Bill Varble), Jerry (Lori) Symons, Jim (Sharri) Symons, Ed Symons; grandchildren: Martina Symons, Robert (Jamie) Obeginski, Brian (Michelle) Symons, Matt (Jamie) Symons, Amanda (Collin) Traeder, Mark (Heather) Symons, Tom (Leah) Symons, Ryan (Whitney) Symons, Ben Symons; great-grandchildren: Evan, Ethan, and Ella Obeginski; Aiden and Amelia Symons; Cordelia, Evelyn, and Gavin Symons; William and Hadley Traeder, Cassidy Symons, Noah Symons, Eddie Symons; brothers: Dan Wozniak (Cheryl Boyer), Larry (Connie) Wozniak; and brother-in-law: Rick Ortega. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sister: Karen Ortega.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Rev. Fr. Adam Maher will officiate with Rite of Committal to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, Michigan 48601 where a Prayer Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Friends may visit with the family again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass on Monday at the church.
