Patricia Eva Cheney-Heinroth

Our loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Patricia was born in Bay City, Michigan on October 17, 1950, the daughter of the late Emmett Oakes and Marjorie Freytag. Patricia enjoyed knitting, sewing, and cooking. Most of all, Patricia cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her children: Nina (James) Yates, Deborah (Scott) Badgero, Sheila Cheney; grandchildren: Heather (Robert) Spindler, Holly Pavlo, Derek Nikolai, James Yates II, Blake Yates, Stephanie (Caleb) Joles, Tiffanie (Ruben) Vaiz, Johnna Rivers, Katrina (Jordan) Sharrard, Evangelia Linardakis, Alexandros Linardakis; many great-grandchildren; siblings: Edward Oakes, Cheryl (Ken) Mize, Tim Rivers; brothers and sisters-in-law: Barbara (William) Griffin, Melody (Robert) Laplaunt, Tina Cheney, Rick (Dianne) Cheney, Yvonne Vansickle, Brenda Cheney, Diane Meno; very special friends: Debby Oakes-Falls, Barbara Mitchell, Jessie Platko; many nieces, and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by two husbands: John M. Cheney, Robert Heinroth; one son: John M. Cheney Jr.; one grandson: Brett Rivers; two sisters-in-law: Nancy Walters, Christine Stagray; and one brother-in-law: Frank Cheney.

Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family, in c/o Deborah Badgero.
