Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 83 years.
The son of the late Primo and Esther (Bloomgren) Sterchele, was born on November 12, 1936 in Chicago, IL. Norman married Susan McQuillin on August 30, 1959; she predeceased him on January 31, 2019. He graduated with a PhD in Education from Michigan State University in 1971. He retired as a Professor of Education from Saginaw Valley State University after over 30 years of service.
Surviving are children: David (Jennifer) Sterchele and Katherine (Jerome) Strasz, grandchildren: Sarah Sterchele and Rachel Sterchele, siblings: Vernon (Susan) Sterchale and Dorothy Lubitz, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Honoring Norman’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Christ the Good Shepherd, 2445 N Charles St., Saginaw. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Humane Society of Saginaw.
