Norman Lee Rhodes (Sonny)

Burt, Michigan

      Passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Covenant Cooper.  Age 83 years.

      The son of the late Mamie (Robinson) and Norman Clyde Rhodes was born January 4,1939 in Indianfields Township, Michigan.  He graduated from Saginaw High School. He married Ruth Ann Marker, February 20, 1960. His wife of 62 years survives him.  Sonny was employed by General Motors, Central Foundry retiring with 35 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was always fixing and tinkering with things and particularly enjoyed his John Deere tractor.

      Surviving besides his wife, Ruth Ann, are four sons, Don Rhodes; Rick (Deb) Rhodes; David Rhodes; Jim (Renae) Rhodes; six grandchildren, Amy, Anna, Wendy, Michael, Samantha and Megan; eight great grandchildren, Eli, Kaylee, Aubrey, Faithlynn, Brylan, R. J, Xander and Katie; three sisters, Priscilla Bell, Janet Stringer and Lynell Ferrante; several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his step-mother, Ardra Rhodes and a brother, Ken Rhodes.
