Norma Jean Walker

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. Age 87 years. 

Norma was born on July 10, 1936, daughter of the late Victor and Marvel (Wittig) Snyder, in Flint. She married the love of her life, Jack Walker on January 15, 1955. He survives her. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, served on the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild. As a seamstress Norma used her love and creativity for designing and making beautiful clothing. She enjoyed traveling with Jack, flower gardening and was a phenomenal baker, with a specialty for amazing pies. Norma was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. Spending time with her family gave her the most joy. 

Surviving besides her husband, Jack Walker; are her children, Robert (Wendy) Walker and Vicky Walker (John Van Benschoten); grandchildren, Robert Walker, Jr. (Kindra Leser), Amy (Russ) Zumer, J.C. Enszer (Leticia Mireles) and Hailey (Brendon Edwards) Enszer; great grandchildren, Kasey and Aaron Walker and Rylee and Lyla Zumer; sisters, Leila Kreager and Shirley Haven; brother-in-law, Donald (Sharon) Walker and sister-in-law, Jane Jungnitsch. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, William Jungnitsch, Robert Kreager and James Haven. 

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Road, Hemlock. Pastor Philip Loescher will officiate with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John Lutheran Church, Hemlock or Covenant VNA Hospice.
