Nora D. Laurenz Davis Saginaw, Michigan Was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the age of 99. Nora was born April 7, 1917, in Burt, Michigan to the late Minnie (Marks) and Herbert Catterfeld. She shared many cherished childhood memories of life on the farm with her predeceased siblings, Ruth (Norman) Reinke, Frank (Elva) Catterfeld, and Herbert (Val) Catterfeld. Nora was blessed with a loving family. She was married to the late Herman Laurenz for 34 wonderful years. They raised three daughters together, Jill (Harold) Larkin, the late Diane (Skip) Creed, and Joyce (Edward) Reinke. She leaves happy memories with six grandchildren, Bill (Eileen) Larkin, Edward (Suzanne) Reinke, Cassandra (Stan) Wallace, Suzanne (Tony) Sutorik, Kimberly Creed, John (Erin) Creed; and eleven great-grandchildren. She later in life spent 3 years in a loving marriage with her late husband Jim Davis. Nora resided in Saginaw, Michigan as well as Bradenton, Florida. She also spent many summers at her family built cabin on AuSable Lake. She enjoyed a lifetime of travels around the world, and was known to be a skilled card player. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Nora's life take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 808 Weiss, Saginaw, Michigan, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
