Nicholas “Nick” Gerald Hozeska of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was 43 years old. Nicholas Gerald Hozeska was born on December 8, 1982, in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Heritage High School. Following graduation, Nick moved to Washington State, later to Colorado where he owned and operated his own hardscaping business, eventually returning to Michigan where he was employed as a plumbing apprentice at Hozeska Plumbing in Saginaw. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted father to his two children. Nick was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing as well as watching hockey and golf. He will forever be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, for selflessly helping others before himself, and for always being a source of light, love, and happiness for all who knew him.
Surviving are his parents, James and Jill Hozeska; two children: Spencer and Jaxson Hozeska; former spouse, Rachel Hozeska; brother, Brandon (Kristi) Hozeska, and their children: Mason, Nora, and Levi; sister, Allison Hozeska; grandmother, Joanne Crampton; great-aunt, Janice Hotchkiss of FL, Godmother, Sondra Dinninger; Godfather, Duane Hutchison; special friend, Ciera Rose Weaton. Also surviving are countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, too numerous to mention, but held closely to his heart.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jerry and Karen Hutchison and Charles Hozeska.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603 on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 6:00 p.m. Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to his children c/o Jill Hozeska. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family at the funeral home or through www.casefuneralhome.com.
