Obituary

Nessiah Emro Brannon, our beautiful baby boy, passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. He was diagnosed during pregnancy with acrania-anencephaly, a rare and life-limiting congenital condition. He was born on July 26, 2026, to Destiny May Brannon and Kasuan Hakeem Barney. Nessiah touched the hearts of all who loved him. Every moment of his short but precious life was filled with immeasurable love, and he will forever be cherished by his family.

Though his tiny footprints were left on this world for only a short time, his memory will remain in the hearts of those who awaited him with hope and loved him without measure. Nessiah's life, however brief, was a beautiful gift and a reminder that love is not measured by time.

Surviving are his mother, Destiny May Brannon of Bay City; Kasuan Hakeem Barney of Bridgeport; a brother, Khalil; two grandmothers, Tammy Brannon of Bay City; Cassandra Barney of Bridgeport; uncles and aunts: Karen Brannon, Eric (Sabrina) Krauss, Tyler Krauss, Raymond (Elosia) Brannon, Desaray Brannon, Kaylee Brannon, Kelsie Brannon, Desirae Barney, Breondra Barney, Hannah Bruner, Calib Bruner, and Brandon Williams; great-grandparents, Raymond Krauss, Clarence and Sundance Barney, and Dorothy Gill. Also surviving are many additional cousins, extended family, and friends too numerous to mention but held closely to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommy Brannon; great-grandparents, Rosemary Creamer, Delores Krauss, Karen Brannon, Charles Brannon, Gregory M. and Brenda Williams, and Calvin Gill Sr.; aunt, Precious Heaven Barney Bruner.

The Janazah prayer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Islamic Center of Saginaw, 4330 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Visitation will be held at the Islamic Center on Thursday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum & Cemetery in Freeland. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Destiny May Brannon. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family at the Islamic Center or through www.casefuneralhome.com.
