Nancy Lee Duranso Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Covenant-Harrison. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Nonie (Brandt) and Leo Thom was born September 3, 1942, in Merrill, Michigan. She married Allan Duranso on July 16, 1960. He passed away, March 10, 2010. Nancy was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Saginaw Club. Nancy was a very social person, often traveling to the casino and other places with her many friends.

Surviving are four daughters: Tammy Grandy; Julie and Mark Seige; Michelle Smith; and Melissa Duranso; grandchildren: Nicole and Andy Godek; Chad Seige; Rachel and Evan Vaillancourt; Hayden Smith; Kelsey Smith and Johnathan Fuentes; Caitlin and John Shantz; Taylor Leipold and Lucas Reed; and Mackensie Leipold; two sisters and a brother: Jeanette Rutch; Jim and Char Thom; Barb and Dave Reisig; two sisters-in-law: Nancy and Betty Thom; several nieces, nephews and her special friends: Brenda Hall and Doris Hatfield.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Shawn Wenzel, and two brothers: Ken and Fred Thom, and a brother-in-law, Ron Rutch. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn Street, Saginaw. Friends may visit with relatives from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the memorial service.
