Monte Ross Swanson

Monte Ross Swanson, age 74, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw.

Monte was born in Saginaw on May 14, 1950, the son of the late Dale Swanson and Mildred (Pretzer) Swanson. He attended Buena Vista High School. Monte was a veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for STARS as a bus driver and retired after 25 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

Monte was married to Angie Swanson, who preceded him in death in 1995. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother Brad Swanson; and his stepdaughter Sheila.

Monte is survived by three brothers and their spouses, Stephen and Barbara Swanson, Dale Swanson, Scott and Julie Swanson; and many nieces and nephews.

Monte will also be sadly missed by his beloved dog Boomer.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, with Pastor JD Howell officiating.
