Millie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 19, 2021 at the age of 90 years. She was born on March 22, 1930 to the late Theodore and Mary (Hoeppner) Andrus in Waterbury, Connecticut. Mildred married William F. Wood on July 18, 1953. They were married for 37 years before William passed away on August 26, 1990.

Millie was employed as a cashier at Butter Crust Bakery in Bridgeport for over 20 years, also working as a sales clerk at Deming’s Hardware for nearly 20 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery and cooking.

She is survived by her children: Pamela Deming, Duane Wood, Dale Wood, grandchildren: Ashley (Jamie) Deming, Andrew (Christina) Deming, great grandchildren: Maci and Max and a grand- dog Oscar.

Mildred was predeceased by her siblings Lester (Joyce) Andrus and Hazel Andrus.

A private family burial will take place on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
