Michael Laski, 72, of Saginaw, MI, passed away on September 7, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 11, 1953, in Saginaw, MI, Michael devoted his life to faith, service, hard work, and family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and Army Reserves for 2 years as a MP, where his deep love of country took root and never wavered. A devoted Catholic, Michael's faith guided him throughout his life, shaping the way he served others with humility, kindness, and love. His fascination with aviation stayed with him throughout his life - from watching planes overhead to carefully crafting model airplanes at home.

For more than 10 years Michael worked as a custodian for the Saginaw Intermediate School District. Known for his reliability, humility, and kindness, he left an impression on students, staff, and colleagues alike. His steady presence and strong work ethic reflected not only his dedication to his community but also his faith-filled approach to life.

Michael's greatest joy was his family. Rooted in his Catholic faith, he cherished trips up north, where he found peace in nature and laughter in the company of those he loved most. As an uncle to 36 nieces and nephews, he was a steady source of support, humor, and guidance. His love for family was unmatched and will be remembered as his most enduring legacy.

He was also a proud fan of Detroit sports, faithfully cheering for his teams through every high and low season. His voice and spirit joined countless others who celebrated the victories and endured the heartbreaks of the Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings.

Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynn Laski, three children: Elizabeth (Skylar) Ley, Joseph Laski, and Marilyn Laski; siblings: Marilyn Neely, Jane Erskine, Matthew Laski, Nanette Wardin, and Diane Ferguson; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Nancy (Crevia) Laski, and siblings, Stephen Laski and Kathryn Laski.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at St. Dominic Savio Chapel, 7095 Kochville Rd, Freeland, MI 48623. Fr. Daniel Ahern will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, where a rosary will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will also take place Thursday morning at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Savio Chapel Flower Fund or Saginaw County Right to Life.

Michael's life was a testament to service, loyalty, love, and faith. His devotion to family, his pride in his country, and his Catholic values will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
