Passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Age 77 years. He was born on August 15, 1941, son of the late Roy and Ruby (Bigley) Rogers, in Saginaw. Michael married Karen Hausman on August 27, 1966. She predeceased him on July 21, 2006. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Eaton Manufacturing after 38 years of service. He enjoyed building dune buggies, hunting, fishing, going to rummage sales and flea markets. He loved Dachshunds and raising them. Michael is survived by his son, Eric (Michele) Rogers; daughter, Lisa Noel (Greg) McSweyn; 7 grandchildren, Amy, David, Justin, Lindsey, Patrick, Matt and Katie; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Brielle, Maddix, Hana and Lilli; his Dachshund, Shrek; also many other relatives and friends, including his very special niece and nephew, Mark and Deann Nothelfer and special friends, Gary and Tammy and The Gang at Burger King. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Bernard Nothelfer. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at W.L. Case and Company, 125 E. Saginaw in Merrill. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the chapel from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
