Maxine Lorraine Hensler Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Meadowview Manor. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Helena (Rieck) and Louis Rau was born July 14, 1931 in Tittabawassee Township, Michigan. She married Dale O. Hensler, December 16, 1950. Her husband of 68 years survives her. Maxine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Court and Bond Sts. She was a community volunteer, enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, refinishing furniture and collecting. Surviving besides her husband, Dale, are five children, Sharon Porath; Linda and Dewayne Hall; Steven D. and Kelly Hensler; Vicki J. Hensler; David A. Hensler. Six grandchildren, Matthew and Jovanka Porath; Nathan Hall; Daniel Hall; Bryon Hall; Kristin Hensler; Jenna and Gillen Papenfuse; three great grandchildren, Franchesca, Anthony and Julianna; a sister, Karen Mudgett; a brother-in-law, Wilfred Henige. A sister, Patricia Henige, and her Step-Mother, Anna Rau, has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Court and Bond Sts. Rev. Julius Buelow will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
