Mary Parcell

Mary Parcell, a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and Aunt, peacefully passed away on July 1st at the remarkable age of 89. Born on August 16th, 1933, to Emile and Stella Despres, Mary's early years in Danby, Vermont, and Lawrence, Massachusetts, left an indelible mark on her, endowing her with the delightful Boston accent that endeared her to all who knew her. She completed her education at Lawrence High School, proudly graduating with the class of 1951.

On May 29, 1955, Mary married the love of her life, Jim (Patrick) Parcell. Their remarkable journey spanned over 65 years, creating cherished memories until Jim's passing in 2021. Prior to her marriage, Mary worked at the esteemed John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston. However, wanting to start her own family, she relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, where she wholeheartedly embraced the role of a devoted mother and homemaker. Mary found joy in nurturing her daughters and granddaughter, indulging in cooking shows, savoring moments with loved ones, and relishing a warm cup of coffee each morning. Her profound love for her family radiated through her being, leaving an unforgettable impression on all fortunate enough to know her.

Mary is survived by her beloved children, Paula Parcell and Kellie Saker, her cherished grandchild, Cristin Lazzaro, one exceptional great-grandchild, Maggie, her dear niece, Linda Stevenson and many other special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She joins her husband, parents, sister Connie Stevenson, and nephew Michael in eternal peace.

In accordance with Mary's wishes, she has been cremated. Those desiring to honor her memory may consider making a contribution to Brian's House of Essexville, symbolizing Mary's compassionate and caring nature.

Mary Parcell will forever be treasured in our hearts, her legacy of love and kindness continuing to inspire us all.
