Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the age of 71 years.
The daughter of the late Elmer and Leona (Wachner) Lutz was born on January 15, 1949 in Saginaw. She married George E. Dagnan; he predeceased her in 2003. Mary Ellen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and putting together puzzles. Mary Ellen cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivng are her son, Scott Lutz, grandchildren: Matt Lutz, Greg Lutz, great-grandchildren: Cloey, Brooklyn, and Taylor, her sister Bonnie Kniebbe and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including her niece Lynn Strobel who helped with Mary Ellen’s care. She was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur, Fred, and Robert Lutz, and two sisters, Betty Engelhardt and Patricia Lutz.
Funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Due to the worldwide pandemic and State regulations the funeral chapel is subject to capacity limits and all visitors are asked to wear a face covering while in attendance.
