Marsha Ann Sherman

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, at the age of 72. Marsha was born on July 10th, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, and raised by the late Fred & Adeline (Olson) Perry. She graduated from Northview High School in Grand Rapids in 1969 before continuing her education at Grand Rapids Junior College, earning an associate degree in nursing. Marsha spent her years working as a nurse, retiring as a private duty nurse. She met David Sherman through her sister and after a blind date the pair were soon inseparable. They married on August 11th, 1990, and celebrated over 34 years together. He survives her. In her free time, Marsha enjoyed tending to a garden full of fruits and vegetables and playing card games like canasta, but most important to Marsha was her family. She cherished the time she spent with her grandkids and great grandkids, and loved attending their sporting events. Marsha is remembered as being a caring, compassionate, and giving person who was kind to a fault, and has someone who was forgiving and loving of everyone.

Marsha is survived by husband David Sherman; children Jeffrey (Lynda) Sherman, John (Deidre) Sherman, David (Elizabeth) Hilden, Jr., Pat (Cheryl Bruce) Sherman, James (Sara) Hilden, and Jason (Paula) Hilden; grandchildren Savannah Sherman, Kendra Sherman, Austin Peterson, Kavan Peterson, Jonathan Hilden, Emily (Tyler) Kinkead, Cameron Hilden, Rebecka Hilden, Austin Sherman, Katrina (Shane) Haney, Rich (Cassie) Hilden, Mackenzie Hilden, Boston Hilden, Finnegan Hilden, and Aurelia Hilden; great grandchildren Madilynn Haney, Alexander Peterson, Aiden Talsma, Karah Kinkead, Emmett Naber, Amais Rhodes, Dion Rhodes, Leonardo Hilden, Darius Harrington, Arlen Kinkead, Avery Hilden, and Lincoln Hilden; siblings Russ (Sally) Whetstone, Will Whetstone, Helen Cameron, Wanette Addis, Mike (Kris) Perry, and SueAnne (Lou) Germani; and brother-in-law Jerry Murphy; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Marsha was preceded in death by granddaughter Addison Pupava and sister Sharon Murphy.
