Marjorie Ann Tapia passed away peacefully on January 6, 2020 surrounded by her family. Born on March 16, 1955 to Leland Robert and Nancy Jean (Muehlenbeck) Wise in Saginaw, Michigan. Marjorie shined her brightest during her career as a teachers aide with the Bridgeport School District. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lee Ann Tapia, her father Leland Wise, sister Janice Doran, and granddaughter Lilly Tapia. She is survived by her faithful mother, Nancy Wise; siblings Marsha (Bill) Slumka, Timothy (Nita) Wise, and Patricia (James) Darby; her children David (Jenny) Tapia, Louis (Briana) Tapia, Lori (Hernan) Cortez, Katie (Gavin) Tapia-Lynch, and seven grandchildren. A graveside memorial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm on Thursday. Mrs. Tapia's family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Hoyt Nursing Home and Covenant for their care and assistance.
