Marilyn Margret Dey

Passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, at her home. Age 94 years.
The daughter of the late Laura Johanna (Heine) and Herbert Carl Bernthal was born October 28, 1926 in
Frankenmuth. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School. She was married to Clayton L. Dey Sr., May 25, 1946. Her husband of 60 years passed away in 2006. She was an active member of St. Dominic Parish,
SS Peter and Paul Church where she attended daily Mass for many years, sang in the choir and with the Songsters and took communion to St. Peter and Paul parishioners. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking and canning.
Surviving are ten children and their spouses, Judy Knopic; Laura and Jim Pache; Clayton L. Dey Jr. and Sandy; John and Andrea Dey; Elizabeth and Daniel Doud; Justin and Jean Dey; Andrew and Kathy Dey; Jeanette and Jim Oswald; Anita Dey and her longtime friend, Khaled Soubra; James and Janet Dey; A daughter-in-law, Suzanne Dey; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; a sister-in-law, Lucille Bernthal Laarz; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn Margret Dey, a son, Timothy Andrew Dey, a son-in-law, John Knopic I, a grandson, Benjamin Doud, a sister, two brothers, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gladys and Paul Christman, Norbert and Ruth Bernthal and Donald Bernthal and a special cousin, Irene Bickel.
The funeral liturgy will take place at Noon Friday, August 6, 2021, at St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter and Paul Church. Rev. Jack Johnson will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with relatives at
