Welsh, Marian E. Brant, Michigan Passed away peacefully on October 22, 2013 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab at the age of 86 years. The daughter of the late Austin and Elizabeth (Weidman) Spitler was born on October 21, 1927 in Owosso, MI. She married Howard D. Welsh on September 29, 1951; he predeceased her on November 14, 1987. She worked for Redmond's in Owosso. She was a member of the Brant United Methodist Church. Marian enjoyed watching and feeding birds and completing jigsaw puzzles. Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie (Chuck) Braley, granddaughter Amanda (John) Smith, 4 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandchild, two sisters: Doris Bradish and Verna Stone both of Owosso, MI. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, Merrill. Chaplain Carol Wesolek will officiate with burial at Marion Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
