Margo “Bebe” Dawn Welsh of Merrill, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was 63 years old. Margo Dawn Fisher was born on April 10, 1959, in Albion, Michigan, to the late Clyde LeRoy and Leona Marie (Koch) Fisher. She attended Arthur Hill High School. As a young lady, Margo worked for Howard Johnson and Roy’s Steakhouse, and later worked as the banquet captain for Apple Mountain, retiring after 14 years of loyal and dedicated service. The role of her lifetime was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She married the love of her life, Brian James Welsh, on September 15, 2006; he survives her. Margo was a longtime and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wheeler. She had a fine eye for detail and was an amazing decorator and painter. Whether it was painting the walls, stones she collected, or her fences, Margo put love into everything she created. She also enjoyed photography and scrapbooking. Her little piece of heaven was sitting on the pontoon boat fishing, camping, and spending time in her flower garden. Throughout her life, Margo held a special affinity toward babies and children and always welcomed them into her home with loving arms. She also had a special love for animals, especially her pigmy goats: Thomas J. and Veda; and her dogs: Zoey, MayMay, and Copper. She will forever be remembered her beautiful smile and impeccable style, for her wonderful sense of humor and heartwarming laugh, for her selflessness and love for family, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving are her husband, Brian J. Welsh of Merrill; five children and three step-sons: Katrina Stevens and her fiancé, Eddie Jarvela of St. Charles; David Jaksa of Saginaw; Angel (Aaron) Sowers of St. Charles; Jamie Jaksa and her significant other, Zack Roesner of Saginaw; Kyle Jaksa of Saginaw; Brenden (Christine) Welsh of Canton; Andrew Welsh of Merrill; Sean (Alexandra) Welsh of Lancaster, KY; 17 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Steven (Cindy) Fisher of Whittemore; mother- and father-in-law, John and Jean Welsh of Gladwin; three sisters-in-law: Jodie (Hugh) Rose of Beaverton; Penny (Jeff) Harms of Midland; Jeanine (Joe) Radosa of Midland; stepmother, Mary Fisher; stepsister; Sand (Tod) McNally; stepbrother, Jimmy (Traci) Reimer; stepsister, Kim ( Pete) Campbell; and uncle Bob ( Maria) Fisher' special cousins “sisters”, Kathy, Norma, Joann, and Karen. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Fisher and Leona Turner; and grandparents.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Covenant VNA Hospice for all the love and care they provided to Margo and the family.
