Beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 13, 2021, at her home. She was 81 years old. Margaret Ann Chichester was born on November 27, 1940, in Buckeye Township, Gladwin County, Michigan, to the late George and Frances (Newberger) Chichester. She graduated from a small country school in Gladwin County. Margaret married the love of her life, Regino Cornejo, while attending church. They were united in marriage on January 12, 1980; he survives. She was employed as an office worker with the Dow Chemical Company for over 10 years. Margaret later began working as a Certified Nursing Aide for Brittany Manor, previously known at Town and Country Nursing Home, for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping and collecting antiques. Margaret also enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She was a superb cook and baker having the skill and ability to make everything she made taste great. Margaret would bake brownies and cookies for family and friends. She will forever be remembered for her optimism, kindness, as well as selflessly caring for those she loved.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Regino Cornejo of Merrill; two sisters: Joanne and Mary. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Private burial has taken place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Merrill, Michigan.
