Lynn A. Colbert, a cherished member of her community, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on March 20, 1956, in St. Charles, Michigan, Lynn led a life marked by dedication and passion.

Lynn completed her education at Saginaw High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1975. She furthered her studies at Delta College, earning an associate’s degree that would pave the way for a successful career. For 30 years, Lynn served as a legal secretary at GM Legal Services, where she was known for her commitment and professionalism. Her retirement marked the end of a significant chapter in her life, reflecting her unwavering work ethic and loyalty.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Lynn was a woman of diverse interests. She had a particular fondness for quilting, where her creativity and attention to detail shined through. Lynn was also an avid football fan, proudly supporting her beloved Michigan State Spartans and the Detroit Lions. Her love for animals was evident, especially in her affection for her cats, who brought her joy and companionship.

Lynn was united in marriage with David W. Colbert on August 15, 1975. David preceded her in death on December 11, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents Lester and JoAnn (Milano) McQuaid, her sister Christine McQuaid, and her sister-in-law Jacqueline McQuaid.

Lynn is survived by her daughter, Stacie (Gary Alexander) Alcorn; her brother, Michael McQuaid; and many nieces and nephews, who will carry her memory forward.

Lynn A. Colbert leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and the warmth of cherished moments shared with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
