Harrison, Mrs. Louise Saginaw, Michigan Loving and devoted mother passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home. Age 74 years. Louise Garcia was born October 10, 1942 in Gary, Indiana. After graduating from Purdue University, she married Robert Harrison on January 2, 1964; he predeceased her on September 18, 1994. Louise was an honored and admired teacher at Arthur Hill High School, the Center for the Arts and Sciences, South Middle School, and Heritage High School. She inspired a love of great literature and creative writing among countless students. Louise loved water and was an avid boater, kayaker, and sunset watcher. She was a fabulous cook and co-owned a catering business for some years. Surviving are her daughter, Dina Harrison (Casey Denno) of Saginaw, and son and his wife David and Suzanne Harrison and their children, Drew and Stella, of Grand Blanc; two nieces Carla Pister and Lisa (Andrew) Torre; one nephew Jay (Lisabeth) Gonzalez; and many dear friends. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Adenso Garcia and her sister, Elaine Gonzalez. Louise's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Covenant Hospital and Heartland Hospice for their kindness and care. Memorial service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd.
