Hammerbacher, Louise A. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Louise was born November 6, 1924 to the late John and Emma (Zeilinger) Hammerbacher. She attended Saginaw Business Institute. She was employed by Werkema Studio, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and retired from Otto and Otto Attorneys in 1991 after 22 years of service. Louise volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital (now Covenant Cooper) for 20 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Amelith. She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews and their spouses. She was predeceased by her sister, Hulda Schwab Mayou, two brothers-in-law, Arthur Schwab and Elmer Mayou; two brothers and their spouses, Edgar and Verna Hammerbacher and Ottomar and Esther Hammerbacher. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Amelith, 1664 Amelith Rd., Bay City MI. Rev. Stephen P. Starke will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. They may then call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
