Lou passed away Friday December 25, 2020 at home with his family by his side at the age of 88 years. He was born August 25, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of the late Gabriel and Virginia (Sefuentes) Lara. Lou retired from Grey Iron Foundry following 37 years of service. He served in the US Army during The Korean War; Lou enjoyed traveling, but most of all spending time with friends and family.
Surviving are his children Daran (Lisa) Lara, Robert (Carolyn) Lara; step-children; Kevin Gullifor and Dawn(James) Couture; grandchildren; Gabriel Lara, Isabella Lara, Kyle Figueroa, Hayley (John) Pendleton, Courtney Gullifor, Brendan Gullifor, James Couture Jr., and Kyle (Kim) Couture; one sister; Rosa Wangler; many nieces and nephews and special dear friends.
Lou was predeceased by one brother and one sister; Ferdinand Lara and Mary Vallez.
Cremation has taken place burial of Lou’s cremains will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
