Louis J. Pacek Jr. of Fremont Township

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 17, 2021. Louis John Pacek Jr. was born on January 4, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Louis Joseph and Frances (Konecny) Pacek. He was a 1957 graduate of Ss. Peter & Paul High School. Following graduation, Louis proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1961 where he worked on both Navy and Air Force planes. Upon his return, he began his 40-year career with Eaton Manufacturing working as a journeyman electrician and a master electrician. Louis married the love of his life, Donna Lea Bailey on November 19, 1971; she survives. He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed the peace and tranquility hunting and fishing brought to his life. Louis also enjoyed traveling, his hobby farm, and tending to his vegetable garden. Above all, Louis loved and cherished his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be forever remembered for his honesty, his witty and funny quotes, and for his selflessness to his family.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Donna Lea Pacek of Fremont Township; two daughters and a son: Deidre Joy (Seth) Black of Allen Park; Deborah Ann (Jack) Quance of St. Helen; Stephen John (Ann Marie) Pacek of Fremont Township; granddaughter, Breanna Elizabeth Medellin of Allen Park; Nickolas Antonio Medellin of Allen Park; brother, Anthony (Phil) Pacek of Winter Haven, FL; sister, Frances Therese Felice of Ocala, FL. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Edward Bremer.
