Linda Louise Kilgore

Linda Louise Kilgore of Merrill, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Friday, June 16, 2023. She was 73 years old. Linda Louise Bluemer was born on August 14, 1949, in Hemlock, Michigan, to the late Arno and Alice (Wardin) Bluemer. She was a proud 1967 graduate of Hemlock High School. Linda met the love of her life, Donnie Ray Kilgore, while in school. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on December 21, 1968; he survives her. Linda was employed as the Jonesfield Township Clerk, where she served her community with over 22 years of loyal and dedicated service. She later began working with the Mayan Insurance Agency as an insurance agent, serving an additional 20 years before retirement. The role of her lifetime, however, was to be the most loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother the world has ever known. Linda was a lifetime and faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock. Spending time with her family is what brought joy to her life. Her little piece of heaven was watching the grandchildren play sports, going camping, and relaxing at their family cabin in Luzerne. She will forever be remembered for her excellent ability to organize any and all things, for the love and care she had for those she loved, for her selflessness to anyone in need, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Donnie R. Kilgore of Merrill; three daughters: Cathy (Rick) Quackenbush of Sparta; Kim (Jeff) Koski of Olive Branch, MS; Kelly (Luke Pelton) Sysak of Merrill; seven grandchildren: Emily (Curtis) Armock, Colin (Tori) Quackenbush, Nolan (Brianna) Sysak, Brett Koski, Cierra Koski, Cayden Sysak, and Nevaeh Sysak; five great-grandchildren with one on the way; five siblings: Barb McNally of Saginaw; Randy (Sandy) Bluemer of Freeland, Robert Bluemer of Kawkawlin; Sandy Schultz of Hope; Brenda (Brian) Wale of Merrill. Also surviving are many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arno and Alice Bluemer; a brother, Captain Gary Bluemer; five brothers-in-law: Pat McNally, Edwin Schultz, Billie Kilgore, Roger Kilgore, and Paul Jacovitch; and a sister-in-law, Susie Bluemer.
