Linda G. Wade Hemlock, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, age 89 years. She was born on December 9, 1926, daughter of the late Fredrick and Hattie (Wenzel) Smith, in Hemlock. Linda married James A. Wade on December 9, 1950, he predeceased her on November 22, 2009. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Linda was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Fred (Eva) Wade, St. Petersburg, MI, Shirley (Bill) Sprague, Freeland, Donna (Mike) Roberts, Mooresville, NC, Michael (Denise) Wade, Bakersfield, CA, Hope (Joe) Gorney, Freeland and Tricia (Matt) Bray, Hemlock; her grandchildren, Chad Kushner, Andrew Wade, Christie Savage, Craig (Molly) Jerome, Corey Garsteski, Cole (Emily) Garsteski, Reece Sprague, Hailey Roberts, Hannah Roberts (Doug Ziegler), Katie (Richie) Deal, Madeline (Brayden) Lemaire, Ted Gorney, Wade Bray and Zachary Bray, seven great grandchildren; her sisters, Helen Clapp and Ann Drbul; also many special relatives and friends. Besides her husband James and her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Alexander Bray, her sister, Dorothy Clapp and her brother, Alfred Smith. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Shields Comfort Care and Covenant VNA for their exceptional care. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Road. Rev. Phil Bigelow will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
