Swartzendruber, Lila Mae Mio, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 after a brief illness at the age of 87 years. The daughter of the late Russell and Edna (Koehn) Hittle was born on March 12, 1927 in Saginaw. She married William Swartzendruber on March 16, 1945; he predeceased her on April 30, 1989. Lila enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and housekeeping. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many. Surviving are her children: Connie Swartzendruber of Holland, MI; James (Susan) Swartzendruber of St. Charles, MI; Kenneth (Jolaine) Swartzendruber of Mio, MI; grandchildren: David (Michelle) and Emily Swartzendruber, Christy Kuczynski, Richard (Jessica) Swartzendruber; great-grandchildren: Jackson Kuczynski, Alyssa Swartzendruber, and a sister, Nancy (Philip) Eckstrom of Geneva, IL and many nieces and nephews. Lila was predeceased by her sisters Florence Pawlanta and Dorothy Canady. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
