Passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Age 70 years. Leonel was born September 18, 1948, son of the late Concepcion (Reyes) and Romualdo Maldonado, in San Carlos, Texas. He came to the Saginaw Area in 1962. Leonel married Delores Lopez, September 25, 1979. She survives him. He was employed by area farms. Surviving besides his wife, Delores, are three children, Anna Marcelo; Leonel Maldonado Jr.; and Sarah Maldonado; 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Reynaldo Maldonado, and his sister, Paula Abergo. Honoring Leonels wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
