Cantu, Leona M "Tailspin Lou Lou" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Magnum care of Saginaw, age 89 years. Leona was born April 1, 1925, in Flint, Michigan to the late Lenard and Leona (Dunlap) Chilson. She married Juan DeDios Cantu in 1947; he predeceased her in 2009. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering for the Rescue Mission. She considered herself a world traveler after joining her son Kenneth in a trip through Europe. She is survived by 10 children, son, David A. Cantu, Sr. and his wife, Marjorie, Saginaw; son, Stephen Cantu and his wife Leann, Oklahoma; son, Larry N. Cantu, Kentucky, son, Loren Cantu and his wife, Lori, Alabama; daughter, Leona M Cantu, Saginaw; son, Kenneth D. Cantu, Indiana; daughter, Linda Graf, Texas; daughter, Lynne Marie Buchanan, Alaska; son, James D. Cantu, Alaska; daughter, Kathy Sanford, Saginaw; 21 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, John D. Cantu and Thomas Lee Cantu. According to her wishes, cremation has already taken place. There are no services planned at this time.
