Buggia, Leo "Sam" Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, with his family by his side, following a brief illness. Age 77 years. Leo Samuel Buggia was born June 6, 1941, in Saginaw, the son of the late Ruth (Nielsen) and Leo L. Buggia. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1959. He worked in the family business, Buggia Wallpaper and Paint, until its closing in 1984. He later worked for Wohlfeil Hardware, retiring after over 25 years of service. He was an active member of the United Commercial Travelers - Saginaw Council, serving as its Secretary and Treasurer for over 30 years, and also serving at the State level. He loved spending time and playing games with his family. He married Linda L. Groening on November 7, 1970; she survives him. He also leaves three daughters and their spouses, Chandra and James Mullineaux, Larisa Buggia and Ryan Kodrick, and Alexis and David Franz; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Tristen and David Jr., Samuel and Zachary, and Dylan; two brothers, four sisters and their spouses, Dominic Buggia, Ralph and Virginia Buggia, Sandra and Scott Moles, Catherine and Patrick Hulett, Sharon and Rick Schwartz, and Pamela and Guy Marcoux; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sally and David Hovis, Richard Groening, Nancy and Craig Martin, and Todd and Laura Groening; many nieces, nephews, and their families. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate. Cremation will take place following the funeral services. Sams family will receive friends at the chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
