Lawrence Kenneth Jones Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at his home. Age 74 years. The son of the late Gladys (LaFever) and Ralph Jones was born December 16, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Bettie A. Morrison, December 18, 1976. She survives him. He was employed by the Eaton Corporation, retiring in 1992 with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Swan Valley United Methodist Church, the Loyal Order of the Moose #82 and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid sports enthusiast and coached Little League Baseball. Surviving besides his wife, Bettie, are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Steven Thomas and Carol Thomas; Kenneth L. Jones; Heidi A. Shevokas; numerous grandchildren; a sister and brother and their spouses, Pat and Mike Coe; Bob and Diane Jones; a sister-in-law and her husband, Glenda and Billy Dowdy; Luis A. Gonzalez and his wife, Trish, who was like a son to Lawrence; his Godson, Luis (Lil Tony) Gonzalez; an adopted sister and her husband, Barbara and Jim Bedore; many nieces, nephews and his special friends, Doris Simons, Maureen Nestor and Lori Harless. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017, at Swan Valley United Methodist Church, 9265 Geddes Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Friends may call at the Church from 11:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the memorial service.
