Laurie Ellen Stroik-Lupu

Laurie Stroik-Lupu passed away peacefully in her home in Bridgeport, Michigan on April 28, 2024 from heart disease.  Age 68 years.

 

Laurie was born November 21, 1955 to Dominick Stroik and Betty (Lewis) Fee in Saginaw, Michigan. Laurie moved to California in her twenties and worked in the computer industry for many years. Later she moved to Idaho and lived there for several years. She later moved to West Virginia until finally making her way back home to Saginaw. On August 31, 2007 she married Ron Lupu and they made their home in the Saginaw. She enjoyed spending time with family, her cats Jasmin & Becca and her dogs Eve & Misty.  Laurie had a kind heart and a knack for taking in stray people and animals. Laurie tried to help everyone she met and will always be remembered for her big personality and love of Mickey Mouse.  

 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dominick Stroik and Betty Fee, husbands: David Tripp and Larry Brace, daughter Shannon Brace, 7 infant siblings and sister-in-law, Sarah Stroik. Left to hold her memory dear are her husband, Ron Lupu, brother Gary Stroik Sr., stepchildren, Tera and Samantha McMannus and Ronald and Elizabeth Thrushman, grandchildren, Zachary Langworthy and Ezra McMannus, 3 nieces, Jennifer (Ron) Kramer, Mary Beth Stewart, Elizabeth (Chris) Basala, nephew, Gary Stroik Jr, (Angel) and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

 

Honoring Laurie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the wishes of the family St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
