Lana J. Notter (Mallory)

Bridgeport, Michigan

         Passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Age 77 years.

         Lana was born February 27, 1945 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Emerald and Gladys (Kramer) Mallory. She graduated from Vassar High School, Class of 1962.  She married Alan Notter, April 27, 1963. Her husband of 59 years survives her.  Lana was a very proud and proper woman.  She always had her hair combed and properly dressed for the occasion.  Lana always made sure her kids used proper manners and respect, never wore their hat backwards or at the table. Lana like diamonds and crystal. She was an excellent bowler. When she played cards, she’d play to win.  Lana especially liked to challenge the men. She was an excellent cook, learning to cook in her mother’s restaurant, “Mallory’s” of Richville, MI. She learned to cook fast and very organized. He mother always used to say “don’t walk around with your hands empty”.  When Lana got her kids in school, she went to work at United Financial Credit Union for 22 years as a Loan Officer. She loved her home that she and her husband, Al, rebuilt and decorated many times.

        Surviving besides her husband, Alan, are two sons, Bruce Alan (Lisa) Notter; Dean Alan (Jill) Notter; her grandchildren, Brock Alan Notter; Alexis Josephine (Hunter) Turner; Shelby Marie Notter; Andrea Kate Notter; Austin Dean Notter; Alyse Claire Notter; three sisters, Nancy Gruber, Jeanine (Charles) Plambeck; Janet (Wayne) Peterhans; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Marie, age 10 years; a brother and sister-in-law, Jay Dee and Esther Mallory and a sister Noreen Mallory and two brothers-in-law, Darrell Beyersdorf and John Gruber.
