Hartley, Kurt William Freeland, MI Beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle passed away suddenly Monday, June 30, 2014, at the age of 41. Kurt was born May 7, 1973, in Bay City, MI to Karen (Barth) and the late Ronald Hartley. He graduated from Western High School and attended Delta College. He married Amanda Quinn on September 23, 2006; she survives him. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Kurt was a very happy young man who would make you laugh and smile whenever he was around. He was an avid hunter that was looking forward to this hunting season more than ever. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time on his 4-wheeler, and working out. He had a kind heart and was very devoted to his family and friends. Besides his wife Amanda he is survived by his mother Karen Hartley; his brother, Kevin (Lisa) Hartley and their children Laura and Sarah; parents-in-law, Gerald and Lisa Quinn; siblings-in-law, Teresa (Kevin) Fisher and their children Lisa and Alix , Jerri Lynn (James) Rohde and their children Lindsay, Tyler, Justin, and Rebekah, Michelle Soriteu and her children Jessica and Madison, Andrea (Mike) Bresser and their children Jacklyn and Zackary, Marianne (Chad) Gulley and their children Quinn, Andrew, Lauren, and Taylor; and Aaron Quinn; and great-niece Nevaeh and great-nephews, Taeton and Easton . He was predeceased by his nephew Nicholas Fisher and grandparents William and Laura Barth and Clifford and Grace Hartley. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate with burial to follow in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family will gather at 7:00 p.m. for a prayer service. Friends may also visit on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
