Kulwant Kaur of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was 80 years old. Kulwant Kaur was born on May 7, 1944, Sherpur, Punjab, India, to the late Karam Singh and Eshar Kaur. She married S. Gurdial “Lucky” Singh in 1966; he preceded her in death on January 12, 2023. In 2004, she and her husband moved to Saginaw, Michigan, to be closer to family. The role of her lifetime, one she loved above all others, was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Kulwant enjoyed spending time in her garden and eating traditional Indian foods and deserts. She will forever be remembered for being an amazing mother and grandmother, for always being kind, and for truly living a great life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are a son, Gurvinder Singh and Navkirandeep Kaur; three daughters: Jaswinder Kaur and Rajwinder Singh; Jatinder Kaur and Jasvir Singh; Kulvinder Kaur and Ranjit Singh; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jaswant Singh Multani and Raj Kaur Multani; and a sister-in-law, Gian Kaur Multani.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Joginder Singh Multani and Balwant Singh Multani; a sister, Pirtam Kaur.

A Funeral Service/Antim Ardass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609. Jaswinder Singh and Satnam Singh will officiate with cremation to follow at Central Michigan Crematory, 345 E. Mahoney St., Merrill, MI 48637. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
