Kimberly "Kimmie" Lynn Cody

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Age 37 years.

The daughter of Ronald D. and Sandra J. (Stone) Horn, Kimberly was born on May 3, 1988, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 2006, and went on to earn her massage therapy license from Baker College. She married the love of her life, Richard Ernest Cody on April 12, 2008. He survives her. Kimberly worked at Oscar and Joeys, formerly Dixie Dave Restaurant for many years of dedicated service. She later joined Advance Auto Parts, starting as a driver and advancing to the position of Commercial Parts Pro Manager. Kimberly was a devoted and active member of Community Baptist Church, Shields, where she made significant contributions through teaching the Baby Nursery, Three-Year-Old Sunday Church, and leading gym classes. Tuesday nights brought her joy as she participated in volleyball with friends. Kimberly’s passions extended beyond her work and community involvement. She found joy in doing her own nails, crafting, reading, and outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and kayaking. Her love for travel and devotion to her family, particularly her husband and children, were central to her life.

Surviving besides her husband, Richard Cody; are the daughter and son, Alexis Grace Cody, Marcus Jay Cody; her parents, Ronald and Sandra Horn; father and mother-in-law: Curtis Sr. and Denice (Edinger) Cody; sister, Nicole (Horn) Bohnsack and family; brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis (Sheri) Cody, Dustin (Amber) Cody, Amanda (Cody) Ryan Fallas, and their families; and uncle, Kim (Young Me) Stone. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Honoring Kimberly’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Community Baptist Church, 8331 Gratiot Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Dr. Douglas R. Jackson will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
